Terms of Use

Last updated: August 23, 2026

These Terms govern your access to and use of hikoreago.com (the “Site”), operated by hikoreago. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.

1. What This Site Is

hikoreago is an independent travel information website for visitors exploring Korea. We publish attraction, festival, accommodation, food, map, and university information, plus Korean language resources.

We are not a travel agency and not a booking platform. We do not sell, arrange, or take payment for accommodation, tours, transport, or any other travel service. When you book, you leave the Site and transact directly with the provider.

2. Accuracy of Information

Content is compiled from public sources, including the Korea Tourism Organization’s open data (TourAPI), and from our own research. Prices, opening hours, availability, and event dates change frequently and may be inaccurate or out of date.

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranty that the information is complete, accurate, or current. Always confirm critical details — opening times, entry requirements, prices — directly with the venue or provider before you travel.

3. Third-Party and Affiliate Links

The Site links to third-party websites, including affiliate links to accommodation and travel providers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, pricing, policies, or services.

Any booking with a third party is a contract between you and that provider, governed by their terms. Complaints, cancellations, refunds, and disputes must be raised with that provider, not with us. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains how affiliate links work.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable regulation;
  • scrape, harvest, or systematically copy content by automated means without our written permission;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its servers, or interfere with its normal operation;
  • introduce malware or place excessive load on the Site through automated requests;
  • misrepresent your affiliation with hikoreago or use our name or branding misleadingly.

5. Intellectual Property

Original text, layout, design, and code belong to hikoreago. You may quote short excerpts for non-commercial purposes with a visible credit and a link back. Republishing substantial parts, or commercial use, requires our written permission.

Tourism data supplied through the Korea Tourism Organization’s TourAPI remains subject to that organization’s terms. Photographs, logos, embedded videos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and informational purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, hikoreago is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content — including travel disruption, cancelled or unavailable bookings, or additional costs. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how cookies are used.

8. Changes and Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Where you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your local law.
